What a cookie is here
A cookie is a short note stored by your browser. I use one named ssr_consent. It holds either “accept” or “decline”, depending on the button you press. It lasts 180 days and it is set for this site only. The same value is also written to local storage under the name ssr_consent so the banner can hide even if a cookie is blocked.
Why it exists
Without that note, the banner would appear on every page load. I would rather you see it once, choose, and then read the rest of the site. The cookie does not record which pages you open, how long you stay, or where you came from. It records the choice.
What I do not use
There is no analytics package on this site. There are no marketing cookies, no social pixels, and no embedded video players that set their own store. The map in the footer is a simple Google Maps embed. That embed is loaded by your browser from maps.google.com when you open a page; I do not add an API key and I do not read what the map provider stores on its side. If you prefer not to load maps, a network blocker will stop that request. The address is also written in text on every page.
The banner
The notice is visible until you choose Accept or Decline, or until a previous choice is found. Both buttons write the same kind of note — only the value changes. Declining still hides the banner. I do not treat “decline” as a reason to follow you with a different tool. There is no other tool.
How to withdraw the choice
Clear the cookie ssr_consent for sweatsmilerepeat.life in your browser settings, and clear local storage for this site. The banner will show again on the next visit. You can also write to [email protected] if you want me to confirm what this page says. I cannot delete a cookie from your device over e-mail; that change happens in the browser.
Forms and the thank-you page
The enquiry form uses a hidden time stamp and an off-screen field. Those are not cookies. They live in the page you submit and they are discarded when the request ends. The form does not store your message on the server.
Updates
If I ever add another cookie I will name it on this page first. Today, in 2026, the list is one item: ssr_consent, 180 days, accept or decline. Related pages: privacy policy and terms.
